Tips for Teachers

(Parents scroll down for activities to use at home!)

Teachers, you can easily integrate music teaching into your daily routine. Try taking a song or nursery rhyme the children know really well, and play around with it. Get the children to try singing it fast, then sing it slowly, sing it sadly, then sing it happily. The children will find this funny, and they’ll be learning about musical elements as they enjoy themselves.

Activities for Parents and Children

The best thing to do is to join a local Musical Steps class where you'll learn lots of songs, game and activities. In between music classes, try these, suitable for babies, toddlers and preschoolers!
