Did you know that the Summer Solstice is associated with music? 'World Music Day' or 'International Music Day' began in France in 1982 as 'Fete de la Musique', and has been growing in momentum ever since. It is now celebrated in over 120 countries across the world.
The main focus of the day is making music accessible to everyone by taking it outdoors as much as possible, and all of the events are free. There are concerts, jam sessions, workshops and come-and-try events of all musical genres, and Musical Steps is proud to have been part of it!
Thanks to our Cyprus teacher, Maria, the children remain captivated by Musical Steps activities despite the obvious distraction of being outdoors.
